Everything crochet!

Hey all! So I had some sparkly yarn that needed to be used (Feza brand, Jewel). I made this quick little beanie and plan on coming up with a little scarf to go along with it! I didnt have a pattern that used a hook that would work with this yarn (its 3 ply, needs a 3.5 or 4 mm hook), so I came up with a super simple pattern for a striped beanie.

Sparkly beanie!

So here’s the pattern! You can change colors at any row, so I didnt include color changes. Just finish off when you want to end one color, and join a new color a few stitches away, working the same amount of chains at the start of the row.

Supplies:

4 colors – Feza Jewel Yarn (I used pink, teal, green, and medium purple)

3.5 mm hook

Language:

ss = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

Pattern:

Row 1 – into magic ring, sc 15, ss into first stitch (15)

Row 2 – ch 3, 2 dc in each stitch around, ss into top chain (30)

Row 3 – ch 3, **2 dc into next stich, 1 dc in next stitch. Repeat from ** around, ss into top chain(45)

Row 4 – ch 3, 1 dc in next stitch, ** 2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in next two stitches. Repeat from ** around, ss into top chain (60)

Row 5 – ch 3, 1 dc in next two stitches, **2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in next three stitches. Repeat from ** around, ss into top chain (75)

Row 6 – ch 3, 1 dc in next 3 stitches, **2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in next four stitches. Repeat from ** around, ss into top chain (90)

Row 7 – ch 3, 1 dc in next 4 stitches, **2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in next five stitches. Repeat from ** around, ss into top chain (105)

If you have a larger head, add this row to your pattern here: ch 3, 1 dc in next 5 stitches, **2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in next six stitches. Repeat from ** around, ss into top chain (120)

Row 8-end – Ch 3, 1 dc in each stitch around. Ss into top chain. (105)

Try on the hat as you work it to decide how long you choose to go for. I did 21 rows, but if you would like to fold over the edge, add more. Once done, finish off yarn and weave in ends. You can add a pompom to the top, a bow or flower to the side, or anything else you choose to do!

I would love to see pictures of your finished projects as well and I am always happy to help if you have any questions!
