Hey guys! My swap partner received my squares and posted this picture of them, so here ya go!

Link for the left one: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/butterfly-garden-square
(did in multiple colors and added on several rows to the ending so that it met 12″)

Link for the right one: http://www.yarncrazy.com/simple-yo-yo-square (had to add several rows to this one as well)

Overall the yo-yo square was my favorite to make and i just LOVE the way it looks 🙂

Image Top of beanie, so far seems a little small for me but maybe it will stretch more.

Granny Square Swap Squares!

Received my first 2 squares from the swap today, and I just have to say they are gorgeous!

I will put up pictures of the 2 squares I sent as soon as she receives them, just in case she comes across my blog. 🙂 Thanks for reading!

First Mitt finished!

I should have the second done tomorrow or the next day. But i finally made something for myself that i really love! Woohoo! The yarn is more wine colored than the red it looks like in this picture, but it really is a beautiful color and so so SO soft!

I plan on added an off-white sparkle yarn along the edge to give it a little something extra!

Here is a pic of the finished one with edging!

What I’m working on…

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you all know what I’ve been working on lately!

I’ve been making a couple granny squares for a swap, 2 of which are done (I won’t post pics till the receiver gets them) and 2 more in the works right now. These are all 12″ squares, which the ones I get in the swap I plan on using to make a blanket completely out of swapped squares.

I am also working on making Alice Inspired Mitts.

They are a beautiful pair of fingerless mitts which I am using Karabella Yarns Aurora 8 in fuschia to make. I bought that yarn on sale, around 40% off at a local yarn store. I plan on going back sometime this week to buy more and make a matching hat and scarf. It is the nicest yarn I have ever used, and I have used a lot of yarns!

I am also working on a pattern (which will be free) for an easy ear-flap hat out of sport weight yarn (3 ply). Also, the pattern I created while making my dad’s Father’s Day gift is now available for free! Click here to see it!

I’ll have some pictures up soon! Thanks for reading!

I already signed myself up to swap with 2 partners for 12″ squares and plan to make a blanket completely out of swapped squares!

If interest grows for this group I will be designing and posting some free granny square patterns of various sizes, so please join! Also, I will update this list of free patterns as I come across interesting ones.
